Examples of the types of research involved include:</br># Performing multi-physics simulations (coastal hydrodynamics and hydro/hydraulic modeling)</br># Synthesizing and downscaling hydrological and climate model outputs</br># Developing and applying ML techniques for physics-based, surrogate modeling (examples include but not limited to forward & inverse modeling, domain adaptation, uncertainty quantification) using one or more state-of-the-art deep learning packages</br># Evaluating and interpreting model outputs against observations</br># Presenting results during regular group meetings and at professional society meetings</br></br>The position will be at the Bureau of Economic Geology, which is part of the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
