We are looking for a motivated post-doctor … We are looking for a motivated post-doctoral researcher to develop a 3-D landscape evolution model to explore how groundwater seepage can be a significant geomorphic agent offshore.</br></br></br>The successful candidate:</br></br>* will work in close co-operation with geologists, geophysicists and hydrogeologists who are developing a 3D continental margin evolution model</br>* should be self-motivated, organised, able to work independently and in line with established deadlines, and have good interpersonal and communication skills</br>* will be expected to produce work of publishable quality for high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.</br> </br></br>The position is available for a period of 1 year. </br></br>The required qualifications include:</br># A PhD in numerical geology, computational sciences, physics, engineering or a related field of research;</br># Experience in landscape evolution modelling;</br># Be proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Fortran, Python, Matlab).</br></br></br>Interested candidates should get in touch with Aaron Micallef (amicallef@geomar.de) as soon as possible for more information. as soon as possible for more information. +
