Initial bottom configuration, wind and tide characteristics, sea level rise rate, water column sediment concentration at the boundary.  +
In each cell and at each time step the following are computed: bottom elevation, above-ground vegetation, water level, wave height, tidal current velocity, bottom shear stress, and suspended sediment concentration.  +
Transect length about 500 m  +
Bottom configuration at each time step.  +
Wind waves are computed by wave action proWind waves are computed by wave action propagation, tidal current are computed with a quasi static approximation. Bottom shaer stress, computed from a combination ot the two, induces bottom erosion. Suspended sediment are advected / diffused by tidal current, and eventually sedimented back. A different erosional process are used where waves break on a vertical obstacle (the vertical scarp at the marsh boundary). Vegetation is computed as a function of the ground elevation respect to the mean tidal level. Vegetation change bottom erodability and the sediment trapping.tom erodability and the sediment trapping.  +
Time resolution 30 min, simualtion length about 100 years.  +
As is, no updates are provided  +
One dimensional model for the coupled longOne dimensional model for the coupled long-term evolution of salt marshes and tidal flats. The model framework includes tidal currents, wind waves, sediment erosion and deposition, as well as the effect of vegetation on sediment dynamics. The model is used to explore the evolution of the marsh boundary under different scenarios of sediment supply and sea level rise. Time resolution 30 min, simulation length about 100 years.30 min, simulation length about 100 years.  +
