The Water and Environmental Systems Analys … The Water and Environmental Systems Analysis Lab (WESA) at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi is seeking a postdoc to work on forecast-informed reservoir operations. Funded by the Department of the Interior, the research project aims to integrate hydrologic modeling, satellite remote sensing, and WebGIS into a decision support system for improving reservoir operations and water resources management in the Nueces River Basin in Texas. This position is supported for two years.</br></br></br>Required qualifications:</br># PhD in civil engineering, environmental science, computer science, or a related field</br># Research experience in hydrology, water resources, and geospatial analysis</br># Excellent skills of scientific writing and communications</br></br>Preferred qualifications (any of the following items):</br># Experience with HEC-HMS, SWAT, or other watershed hydrologic models</br># Experience with geospatial analytics via Google Earth Engine, Planet, or other platforms</br># Experience with ArcGIS Online or other web-based mapping software</br># Experience with NOAA precipitation forecast products</br></br>A complete application should include:</br># Curriculum vitae</br># Statement of research experience and interest</br># Three references</br></br> </br></br>Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Dr. Zhang (hua.zhang@tamucc.edu).
