The postdoctoral researcher is expected to work on pluvial flood risk evaluation in urban areas, focusing on real-world applications and pilot sites in the context of the research project "INSPIRING" (PRIN 2020 funding).</br></br></br>The ideal candidate will have a PhD in hydrology, civil/environmental engineering, geosciences, water resources, environmental sciences or related disciplines, experience working with geospatial and time series data, and experience with hydrodynamic and hydrologic modelling. Plus qualifications include programming/scripting capabilities and experience with high-performance computing.</br></br>Candidate responsibilities</br>* Develop and apply flood inundation models for flood forecasting and risk assessment in real-world applications.</br>* Collaborate with project partners in an interdisciplinary context.</br>* Present, publish and communicate research results at scientific meetings and in scholarly journals.</br></br>Offer</br></br>We offer a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher for a period of 15 months at the Engineering Department of the University of Naples “Parthenope” in Naples (Italy).
