Durham Geography is a world-leading centre (https://www.durham.ac.uk/departments/academic/geography/ref-2021-result/) for research in Hazards and Surface Change (https://www.durham.ac.uk/departments/academic/geography/research/clusters/hazards-surface-change/); Catchments and Rivers (https://www.durham.ac.uk/departments/academic/geography/research/clusters/catchments-and-rivers/); and Sea Level, Ice and Climate (https://www.durham.ac.uk/departments/academic/geography/research/clusters/sea-level-ice-climate/). </br></br> </br>The Department is part of the NERC-funded IAPETUS2 (https://iapetus2.ac.uk/) Doctoral Training Programme, which is currently advertising (at least) 16 fully funded postgraduate studentships, to begin in October 2023.
