We seek applic … '''Job summary'''<br></br>We seek applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on problems related to understanding the evolution of topography and biodiversity using new computational techniques. The project will be based in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering, Imperial College London, South Kensington, and we will work closely with colleagues at University College London. The candidate will work with Gareth Roberts (Imperial), Philip Mannion (UCL) and Yanghua Wang (Imperial) to develop and apply new spectral and other computational techniques. These new techniques will be used to understand the evolution and drivers of the Earth’s surface and their interactions with biodiversity.</br></br>We will develop spectral, forward and inverse modeling approaches to understand coevolution of geological, climatic, topographic and biotic processes. Ideal candidates will have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in a quantitative subject and have some experience of writing and developing code.
