The Department of Civil, Architectural, an … The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (https://drexel.edu/engineering/academics/departments/civil-architectural-environmental-engineering/) at Drexel University welcomes applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with research and teaching expertise at the intersections of water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering, sustainability, and climate change to build a dynamic and exciting interdisciplinary research program across academic units within the college as well as other schools and colleges throughout Drexel University. This position is part of a cluster hire in the College of Engineering. Aligned with the Drexel University 2030 strategic plan (https://drexel.edu/strategicPlan/), the College of Engineering’s cluster hire aims at strengthening Drexel’s identified areas of excellence. We are specifically searching for candidates under the cluster hire themes of Smart, Integrated Cities, and/or Energy and Sustainability, with expertise in sustainable and/or nature-based approaches to climate change resilience and adaptation in the above research areas.</br></br></br>The successful candidate will be expected to further our educational mission by teaching select courses in the concentrations of water resources, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, and/or geographic information systems at undergraduate and graduate levels.
