The CREST Center for Geospatial and EnviroThe CREST Center for Geospatial and Environmental Informatics, Modeling and Simulation at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is seeking a PhD student to study coastal resilience and environmental sustainability, starting Fall 2022. The five-year research project is funded by the National Science Foundation, aiming to better understand the interactions of urban hydrology, water infrastructure systems, and environmental management strategies in coastal regions, using a combination of observation, simulation, and experimental methods.</br>This position is fully funded, covering stipend, benefits, and tuition. The successful applicant will be admitted into the Geospatial Computer Science PhD Program: https://www.tamucc.edu/programs/graduate-programs/geospatial-computer-science-phd.php.</br></br></br>Applicants should have a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, geography, environmental science, computer science, or a related field. Preliminary knowledge of hydrology and GIS is desired.
