Project: INCIPIT - INtegrated … Project 1 </br></br>Project: INCIPIT - INtegrated Computer modeling and monitoring for Irrigation Planning in ITaly.</br></br>The INCIPIT project aims to develop and test a set of methodologies capable of providing analytical and forecast information useful for the management and planning of irrigation use of water resources at different spatial scales and in different conditions of hydraulic and meteorological data availability. The project includes seven study areas distributed throughout Italy, where data will be collected and different models for estimating irrigation needs and uses will be implemented.</br></br>Candidates shall possess the following skills and experience:</br>* expertise in the use and processing of Remote Sensing products;</br>* knowledge of hydrology and mathematical modeling;</br>* experience in the use of GIS software and tools;</br>* knowledge of scientific computing environments (Matlab, R);</br>* good knowledge of the English language.</br></br>Link for application: https://www.unimi.it/en/node/41191</br></br>Application deadline: 15 March 2021, 23:59 - CET</br></br>Net remuneration: about 1.600 Euros/month </br></br>Contact: claudio.gandolfi@unimi.it</br></br></br></br>Project: MONAlISa (mathematical MODels and NAture-based solutions for Improving combined Sewer overflows management and reuse) The main objective of the project is to implement a modeling tool for managing the quantity and the quality of runoff and combined sewer overflows through avant-grade combination of nature-based solutions, gray, green and blue infrastructures, exploiting in an innovative way the self-purification capacity of the agro-urban environments and rural canals.
