Hello All, The Department of Geosciences … Hello All,</br></br>The Department of Geosciences at Idaho State University (ISU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Sedimentary Geology at the rank of Assistant Professor to start in Fall 2021.</br></br></br>The successful applicant is expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program in Sedimentary Geology and supervise graduate students, teach approximately four classes per year at the undergraduate and graduate level including courses in Sedimentary Geology, contribute to department and university service, and contribute to co-teaching a module in ISU Geosciences’ summer field course. We are located in the northern Basin and Range, with nearby, field-based opportunities to investigate the sedimentary record preserved in rocks and sediments from Mesoproterozoic to Recent age. Our Lost River Field Station lies in central Idaho, in the heart of the North American Cordillera. We are a field-intensive program that combines field investigations with cutting edge technology and laboratory techniques. The department strongly values our collegial atmosphere and collaboration among faculty here and across the region. ISU is located in Pocatello, in southeastern Idaho, which has a low cost of living and access to premier outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, skiing, hunting, and fishing.</br></br></br>Priority consideration will be given to applications received by November 20, 2020.
