Describe processes represented by the model
Tracking of cosmogenic nuclides on surface and in fluvial system of a landslide dominated drainage basin
Describe key physical parameters and equations
Cosmogenic nuclide production decay with depth. Power-law distribution of landslide size. Calculates a fluvial storage reservoir.
Describe length scale and resolution constraints
Drainage basin size controls the length of the model runs. Cell size should not be increased to shorten model runs.
Describe time scale and resolution constraints
Yearly timesteps. Most runs go for 500,000 yrs or more.
Describe any numerical limitations and issues
Matlab may max out memory if drainage basin is too large. Since this is a simplified landscape with wrap-around boundary conditions, one workaround is to do numerous smaller runs and add the output.
