I study paleo and modern erosion rates in … I study paleo and modern erosion rates in mountain ranges by measuring and analyzing the cosmogenic radionuclide concentrations in sedimentary rocks and alluvium, respectively. I am particularly interested in questions such as: at which point does the tectonic perturbation to base level overshadow the influence of climate in driving surface processes? Attending the Coupling of Tectonic and Surface Processes workshop will allow me to apply numerical modeling to evaluate which scenarios more likely explain the observations and data that I obtain in the field.
