Matlab
This specifies the daily average incoming radiation.
lake depth in m ice thickness in m
- lake ice model: conduction of heat within water depending on incoming solar radiation - subsiidence model: melted permafrost cells with excess ice are subsided by the excess ice content. A talik can form under a lake
Uppermost 10 m has high resolution gridcells (0.05m). Below 10 m to 500 m depth, grid cells are coarser (1m).
Total simulation duration is typically over 100's of years.
We calibrated the model against temperature data in the subsurface from the Drew point, AK, USGS meteorological station.
