|Meetingstatement_of_interest_submit=Currently a second-year MS student at the University of Kentucky (advisor Ryan Thigpen), I'm researching the fundamental geodynamic mechanisms responsible for shortening accommodation and mass redistribution in large continental collisional systems. I use numerical modeling (Elfen FE) coupled with field and laboratory (metamorphic petrology) data collected from the Himalaya. I will start a Ph.D. next year (advisor Kip Hodges) and my dissertation will be focused on combining that background in modeling thermal-rheological evolution of the subsurface lithosphere with climate-modulated erosion processes and landscape dynamics using a combination of numerical modeling, field mapping, and chronologic datasets derived from samples collected in the field.
