The Department is part of the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, which also includes two additional teaching Departments, Mining and Metallurgical Engineering and Geography, and two state-funded Earth Science units, the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and the Nevada Seismological Laboratory. DGSE faculty are an integral part of the interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Hydrologic Sciences. More information about the Department can be found at http://www.unr.edu/geology.
