ETOPO1 Global Relief Model

Statement: ETOPO1 is a 1 arc-minute global relief model

Abstract: ETOPO1 is a 1 arc-minute global relief model (with longnitude and latitude dimensions of 21600 by 10800 grid cells respectively) of the Earth’s surface that integrates land topography and ocean bathymetry. Numerous global and regional data sets are integrated to generate this product. Presently there are 2 versions available:

  1. a Ice Surface ETOPO1 that includes the Ice Surface (top of Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets)
  2. a Bedrock version that displays the base of the ice sheets.
