Imperial - Fully funded PhD in Climate & Environmental Systems Science
Imperial College London, , United Kingdom
Start reviewing process: 23 December 2025

I am offering a fully funded PhD position at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London on the Effects of Carbon Dioxide Removal on the Water–Carbon–Food–Biodiversity Nexus. Please feel free to share this opportunity within your networks!

In this project, we will use state-of-the-art climate and terrestrial biosphere models to assess the impacts of CDR methods (e.g., reforestation, agroforestry, BECCS) on water resources, climate, food systems, and biodiversity globally and regionally. We will improve CDR representation in models and identify sustainable strategies that maximize carbon sequestration while safeguarding ecosystems and resources.

Funding: Fully funded for home students (tuition + stipend).
