Assistant Professor position in CEE at Stanford
Stanford University, California, United States
Start reviewing process: 14 October 2025

I am pleased to share the following opening for a junior faculty member (Assistant Professor) in the CEE department at Stanford:

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant Professor). We seek applicants in support of the department's vision of creating solutions for cities, communities, and nature to thrive, with a particular focus on the frontier of natural hazard and risk engineering (https://cee.stanford.edu/research-impact). While we give highest priority to the originality, quality, and potential impact of the candidate's work, we are especially interested in applicants whose research addresses hazard characterization, risk assessment, and/or mitigation strategies for climate-influenced risks, such as flooding, drought, wildfires, landslides, storms, and urban heat, among others. Please visit our website for more information about the CEE Department at http://cee.stanford.edu/.

You can find more information about the position here: https://facultypositions.stanford.edu/en-us/job/494902/assistant-professor-in-civil-environmental-engineering
