The department, the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) at Stony Brook University, is currently looking to hire an Assistant Professor in marine coastal geology. We're really hoping we can get someone who is interested in coastal sediment transport processes, including the sediment dynamics of shorelines, beaches, barrier islands, estuaries, and continental shelves.
