Berkeley Lab’s Earth and Environmental Sciences Area has an opening for a Modeling and AI/ML Data-Analytics Postdoc in reactive transport modeling and machine learning at the ENIGMA Area 3 Site.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and apply reactive transport models, and hybrid AI/ML physically-based models to enhance process understanding at the large scale.
- Aggregate and integrate diverse data into numerical models to identify the underlying processes.
- Collaborate with experimental microbiologists, hydrologists, and geochemists to improve predictive capabilities for hydro-biogeochemical processes.
- Develop uncertainty quantification tools and upscaling algorithms.
