It predicts the sediment transport at one location as function water depth, sediment type, current and waves (single point model). It can be used as sediment transport module for larger 2D models. Five different transport equations are available for non-cohesive sediments (sand) and one algorithm for cohesive sediment. Describe key physical parameters and equations The model uses hydrodynamics parameters, sediment characteristics (median grain size, density, possibly pre-existing bedforms), and water characteristics (viscosity and density computed from salinity and temperature) It uses Grant and Madsen (1986) continental shelf bottom boundary layer theory.
