The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in conjunction with the Sustainable Agricultural Water Systems unit at the USDA, seeks to hire a postdoctoral scholar to measure and model water movement through the deep vadose zone. The research will focus on the use of geophysical tools (borehole nuclear magnetic resonance and transient electromagnetic methods) to parameterize and validate groundwater flow models in the Central Valley of California. This position would be ideal for someone with either a hydrogeophysics background or extensive experience modeling partially saturated flow.
