PhD vacancy: assimilating satellite data into the AquaCrop model
KU Leuven, , Belgium
Apply before: 14 August 2023

We have a job opening for microwave-based satellite data assimilation within the AquaCrop model at KU Leuven, in my team:

https://www.kuleuven.be/personeel/jobsite/jobs/60231712

The FAO AquaCrop model has recently been activated within NASA’s Land Information System (LIS), and we look for a motivated student to exploit the new possibilities of satellite data within this system. The job is open for a PhD student for 4 years, but could possibly be transformed to a 2-year position for a postdoctoral researcher, only if the candidate has a very strong motivation and interest in satellite data assimilation within crop models.

Please forward to interested students, or apply yourself by 14 August 2023. All details are given via the link above.

Best regards

Gabrielle
