Specific research topics are currently open to the student’s interests with a variety of approaches available including field and laboratory experiments, physical modeling, and large data synthesis. Student’s must have a bachelor or masters degree in engineering or a related science degree with relevant quantitative coursework.
Please instruct interested persons to contact me directly prior to applying and include a brief resume or CV. We offer a variety of interdisciplinary and innovative Ph.D. programs (https://engineering.usu.edu/cee/students/requirements/index) within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE; https://engineering.usu.edu/cee/). Admitted students will join the Utah Water Research Laboratory (https://uwrl.usu.edu/) and CEE with the opportunity to work collaboratively with the large variety of excellent water related faculty across the university. The start date is flexible (Fall 2020-2021) so I encourage all those interested to contact me (colin.phillips@usu.edu).
Best,
Colin Phillips
Assistant Professor (starting Aug. 2020)
