Abstract: Alex de Sherbinin (CIESIN) and Bernhard Lehner (department of geography, at McGill University) and others worked for years together to establish a world database on reservoirs. Over 7000 reservoirs are included presently and presented over time in this visualization.
Theory
This movie just indicates the emplacements of larger reservoirs over time and gives an idea of how humans are impacting and controlling the hydrological cycle
