Simulating glacier flow with ICEPACK
Abstract
This clinic will describe a bit about glacier physics and then go on to show how to use the software package ICEPACK to simulate the flow of glaciers and ice sheets. We'll run through a few use cases, first on synthetic and then on real data. Then I'll show a few other useful features, like the ability to easily alter parts of the model physics like the sliding law. Finally I'll talk about some open problems and other things we're working on that might be of relevance to other disciplines within the earth sciences.
