Data needs
The CSDMS Data Repository describes important data fields useful in CSDMS models and provides links to data centers for download. CSDMS distinguishes between at least 3 data types relevant for modeling:
- boundary or initialization data,
- model algorithm test or benchmark data, and
- integrated datasets for model validation of coupled systems.
Model test files and validation files are explicitly solicited within the model submission process.
