Surendra was awarded for his submission, Advances in Modelling of Valley Galciers. He formulated a new hierarchy of dynamical models that describes distinct physical processes of deformational flow. Together these models provide an intuitive tool for studying the mechanics of glaciers and help to improve sea level rise estimates. Ph.D., 2012, University of Calgary.
