Model type Modular
Model part of larger framework
Note on status model
Date note status model
Incorporated models or components:

Model domain Terrestrial
One-line model description A GCM for Titan that incorporates aerosols
Extended model description I am developing a recent adaptation of CAM 3.0 that has been converted to Titan by Friedson et al. at JPL. I am adding the aerosol microphysics from CARMA.

Describe processes represented by the model CAM treats radiative transfer, tidal forcing from Saturn, a planetary boundary layer and surface interaction, thermal conduction in the soil and chemistry. The CARMA part of the code does the aerosol microphysics involving emission, coagulation and sedimentation.
Describe key physical parameters and equations --
Describe length scale and resolution constraints Currently there are only initial data sets for 10x15 degrees longitude and latitude. This model is meant for global scale dynamics.
Describe time scale and resolution constraints I am running the model with dynamical time steps of 1800 seconds, but it only computes the radiative transfer every 200 timesteps.
Describe any numerical limitations and issues This is a large model that takes significant computing resources to spin up run.

Describe available calibration data sets
Upload calibration data sets if available:
Describe available test data sets
Upload test data sets if available:
Describe ideal data for testing

Do you have current or future plans for collaborating with other researchers? I am collaborating with Jim Friedson and Bob West at JPL and Erika Barth at SWRI, as well as my adviser, Brian Toon.
Is there a manual available? Yes
