One-line model description B-Flood is a 2D shallow water equation solver with adaptive mesh refinement (built on the Basilisk library) designed for flash flood simulation on small watersheds at predictive timescales.
Extended model description B-Flood is a 2D flash flood simulation tool built on the Basilisk library, using shallow water equations and adaptive mesh refinement.B-Flood is a 2D flash flood simulation tool built on the Basilisk library, using shallow water equations and adaptive mesh refinement. It has been validated on analytical test cases and physical models from the CADAM and IMPACT projects. The model was successfully applied to the October 2015 flash flood in Cannes, France, demonstrating its feasibility for small watersheds (under 100 km²) at predictive computational timescales.
