From CSDMS
Postdoc Position at Boise State
Boise State University, Indiana, United States
Apply before: 23 February 2026

Andrew Hedrick (ARS) and I are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to enhance streamflow forecasts in mountain watersheds of the Western US by integrating spatiotemporal data through AI/ML and physics-based snow modeling approaches. On this USDA-funded project, you'll work with some unique, ultra-high-resolution climate and hydrology datasets in Reynolds Creek, applying physics-based and data-driven modeling to reveal insights into spatiotemporal controls on runoff generation and streamflow.

We're looking for someone with experience using process-oriented hydrologic models (with a particular interest in snow mass and energy balance), as well as Python to analyze large spatiotemporal datasets. You can apply for the position via the link below. The application window will close on February 23rd, at midnight MT. Please reach out to me and/or Andrew with questions and share broadly!
