The DELTA-HUB project (Horizon Europe ERA Chair) at the University of Bucharest (Romania) is seeking two motivated Postdoctoral Researchers to join a hands-on team focused on how deltas respond to climate change and human pressures.
Our main field site is located at the Sfântu Gheorghe Marine and Fluvial Research Station, where the Danube meets the Black Sea, and you will work alongside ERA Chair Prof. Edward Anthony, research staff from University of Bucharest (Florin Tatui and Florin Zainescu) and an international network of partners (including NASA JPL, TU Delft, and Deltares).
We are hiring for two distinct profiles:
- Position 1: SWOT Data & Global Delta Analysis Focus: Developing new data products from SWOT/NISAR missions, global-scale analysis, and GIS.
- Position 2: Field Data Analysis & Model Calibration Focus: Hydrodynamic/sediment sensors, field campaigns, and bridging observations with numerical modelling (Delft3D/MIKE21).
Key Details:
- Full-time Contract: 2 Years (Starting Spring-Summer 2026).
- Salary: €4,000/month (gross).
