Rennes University, , France
Apply before: 30 May 2025

We are currently looking to fill a joint PhD Position (3yr) between the geomorphology team in Rennes (France) and the Institute of Geography and Environment in Potsdam University (Germany).

The objective is to use the recent cover of large parts of the Europeans Alps with LiDAR and recent developments in high resolution hydraulic modelling, to systematically study the geometry and hillslope connectivity of steep mountain streams in relation to environmental factors and hydrological extremes.

We are looking for a student with a background spanning quantitative geomorphology, hydrology or remote sensing. Very good programming skills (python, matlab) and experience in 2D GIS data processing are expected.
