From CSDMS
Two lecturer in Physical Geography positions at the University of Edinburgh
University of Edinburgh, , United Kingdom
Apply before: 1 July 2024

The School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh is recruiting two lecturers in Physical Geography (open-ended contracts).

Note that in the UK, geomorphology is considered part of Physical Geography, hence this posting on this list (I know that it is not the case everywhere).

However, note also that “our preference is for applicants whose interests will enrich our commitment to field research, and diversify activities beyond existing areas of strength (i.e. geomorphology, glaciology). Areas of research interest include, though are not limited to, the study of: Critical Physical Geography (encompassing complex and contested aspects of the physical earth system) , Environmental Geography (encompassing priorities such as clean air, flood management, soils, climate resilience, vulnerability and adaptation), Biogeography (encompassing climate and vegetation dynamics)”.

NB: deadline is 1st July 2024, not 7th January. Please do not ask why they used the USA date format for the job description.
