Colorado State University is hiring an Assistant Professor in Watershed Sustainability https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/120965 in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. A new assistant professor in watershed sustainability would be expected to have demonstrated excellence to address issues around freshwater systems in ways that connect society and ecosystem and/or watershed functions. This work should inform efforts to ensure sustainable and equitable access to clean water both in the present and under future climate conditions, and could include, watershed sustainability, water markets and economics, water governance, water law and policy, environmental justice, and urban water systems. The successful candidate will contribute to existing courses in the online graduate water certificate (water resource development, water law for non-lawyers), add water sustainability content to the senior-level capstone class in the Watershed Science and Sustainability majors, and co-develop new courses related to sustainability for the department’s undergraduate and graduate programs focused on ecosystems, water, and food system sustainability.
