Candidates should have:
- A PhD in hydrology or in a related field (e.g., physical geography, earth science, environmental science or engineering)
- Strong numerical skills
- A strong publication record (for their career stage) in internationally leading journals
Candidates should also have experience and interest in two or more of the following areas:
- Event-based hyetograph-hydrograph analysis
- Concentration-discharge relationships
- Geospatial analysis (i.e., processing of DEMs and satellite images)
- Watershed classification
- Big data analytics and machine learning
- Physically-based hydrological modelling
The selected candidate will work with Dr. Genevieve Ali and will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers based at McGill University and other institutions. It will be possible for the selected candidate to pursue independent lines of inquiry and co-author publications led by other team members.
