McGill University, , Canada
Start reviewing process: 26 April 2022

Applications are invited for a fully-funded hydrology/ecohydrology postdoc position at McGill University. The position will be funded (stipend + benefits) for a minimum of 18 months, with a flexible start date (between September 2022 and May 2023, depending on the availability of the selected candidate). The position may be extended beyond the initial 18-month period, based on performance and funding availability. • Strong numerical skills
  • A strong publication record (for their career stage) in internationally leading journals

Candidates should also have experience and interest in two or more of the following areas:

  • Event-based hyetograph-hydrograph analysis
  • Concentration-discharge relationships
  • Geospatial analysis (i.e., processing of DEMs and satellite images)
  • Watershed classification
  • Big data analytics and machine learning
  • Physically-based hydrological modelling

The selected candidate will work with Dr. Genevieve Ali and will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers based at McGill University and other institutions. It will be possible for the selected candidate to pursue independent lines of inquiry and co-author publications led by other team members.

Application procedure: Interested individuals should prepare an application package including: (1) a short cover letter outlining their research experience, (2) an up-to-date CV, and (3) the contact information of at least one academic referee.
