The second position, opened at the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology in Rennes (in collab with the Earth Sciences department), is focused on the mathematical and numerical modelling of the Earth dynamics or water dynamics. This includes approaches such as forward or inverse numerical modeling, deep/machine learning, etc. Application of these approaches to issues related to hydrology/hydrogeology, geomorphology, geodynamics, fractures and reservoirs, etc, are particularly welcome. Teaching will take place at the bachelor/master level for students in applied mathematics and numerical modelling.

The hiring process will take place this spring to early summer.
