Postdoc Position in Dept of Geosciences

The GeoPAST Group in the Department of Geosciences is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The fellow will work closely with Dr. Jeremy Rugenstein, an assistant professor in the Department of Geosciences.


The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for exploring new research directions in paleoclimate, the geological carbon cycle, and/or connections between tectonics, erosion, weathering, and climate. The fellow will engage in data acquisition, interpretation, and reporting in conference presentations and peer-reviewed journals. Further, the fellow will actively mentor graduate students and support grant-writing efforts. A willingness to work collaboratively with faculty and to mentor students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures and academic backgrounds is essential.


Please note that the desired start date (Sept. 1) is quite flexible. The position is anticipated to last 18 months with the possibility for an extension.
