Two Ph.D. students in informatics and water system modeling

Hydrosystem & Hydroinformatics Research (HHR) group at Clemson University is looking for two talented Ph.D. students to work on recent funded projects. The successful candidates will start in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. The positions include graduate assistantship commitment that covers the tuition and pay the competitive stipend for the entire Ph.D. program. Additional awards and travel grants will be also available through Clemson graduate program and may be awarded to outstanding candidate(s). The positions are described below.


Position 1. Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Development: The successful candidate is expected to work on end-to-end cyberinfrastructure and data integration workflow development to address multi-disciplinary and cross-domain scientific objectives. Publication record, strong programing and analytical background, and prior experience in applied engineering research are preferred qualifications. Potential MS student will be also considered.


Position 2. Urban Water Resources Modeling: The successful candidate will conduct research on hydroinformatics tools development for urban water modeling research activities and outreach program. Publication record, strong programing and analytical background, and prior experience in surface water modeling research are preferred qualification.
