Postdoc position: WRF-Hydro\NWM flow routing

We are recruiting a postdoctoral research scholar to join the Davidson Laboratory at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and work with the team of Dr. Marouane Temimi. The selected candidate will be involved in a recently funded project for the enhancement of the performance of the National Water Model in northern watersheds with focus on flow routing schemes. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with the NOAA National Water Center. In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to other ongoing funded projects at the Davidson Laboratory like the one funded by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to improve the forecast of urban flooding in New York metropolitan area. The position’s requirements are:
  • A strong background in hydrometeorology
  • A proven ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
  • An extensive experience in modeling with WRF-Hydro\National Water Model
  • A strong experience in remote sensing is preferable
  • Excellent coding and data analysis skills
