The hydrology research group of INRAE (formerly Irstea, formerly Cemagref) in Antony (near Paris, France) is presently seeking interested and enthusiastic candidates to contribute to the development of a semi-distributed flood forecasting model. This position may be of interest for recent PhDs wishing to get an experience in applied hydrology (we currently supply Flood Forecasting models to most of the French rivers, and the position is funded by the French Ministry in charge of Natural Risks), while dealing with interesting model updating issues (data assimilation techniques).
