From CSDMS
Geospatial hydrology postdoc position
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), New Mexico, United States
Start reviewing process: 15 November 2020

Hello CSDMSers,

We are looking for postdoctoral candidates to study flow routing through global river networks and model hydrology in Arctic landscapes. This position could provide a nice opportunity to grow your skillset and expand both your scientific and geographical horizons. We encourage anyone interested in one or more of merging geospatial datasets, graphically representing river networks, routing flows (and other fluxes) through channel networks, or modeling permafrost hydrology to apply!

Los Alamos National Lab is a great place to further your academic and professional goals. ~Half of the postdocs at LANL decide to continue their career here, and ~a quarter move on to academic positions. LANL offers competitive salaries and great benefits packages. Living in the “Land of Enchantment” is also exciting, with tons of trails for hiking, mountaineering, climbing, and mountain biking as well as ski resorts all around. Santa Fe offers a unique cultural scene, while Los Alamos has a “small town” feel if you prefer.

If you have further questions, please email jschwenk@lanl.gov and kbennett@lanl.gov.

Thanks!

Jon Schwenk
