Post-doc in coastal groundwater simulation-optimization

The Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield is seeking a a postdoctoral scholar with an interest in the sustainability of coastal groundwater aquifers and substantial experience in groundwater system simulation and optimization. The successful candidate will lead efforts in developing efficient groundwater modelling simulation and optimization frameworks for modelling seawater intrusion in response to sea level rise. The post is part of a collaborative research project with the Universities of Texas at El Paso (US), and South Florida (US). Funding is provided for an initial period of 12 months, potentially renewable to 30 months based on progress.
