DIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP
The Department of Geosciences at Utah State University (USU) seeks outstanding applicants for a Diversity Fellowship. This competitive fellowship provides graduate support in the form of a stipend at $24,000/year, plus tuition and health benefits. We are dedicated to promoting diversity in the Geosciences and encourage applications from a variety of under-represented groups such as African Americans, Hispanic/Latinos, and Native Americans. PRESIDENTIAL DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
The USU Department of Geosciences seeks outstanding PhD applicants for a Presidential Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) in Active Tectonics and Surface Processes. This prestigious fellowship provides a PhD student the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research, tackling projects that require transdisciplinary field, laboratory, and modeling approaches. Fellows will learn best practices in both research and teaching. The PDRF comes with 4 years of support, a competitive stipend at $24,000/year and includes full tuition and subsidized health insurance (total package includes over $40k/year of support). Strong candidates must have competitive GPA and GRE scores and excellent letters of support.
The USU Department of Geosciences has a dynamic graduate program and is located in northern Utah, surrounded by excellent outdoor opportunities. The Geosciences Department is field oriented and has state-of the-art laboratories including the Mineral Microscopy and Separation lab, Stable Isotope lab, Geochemistry and LA-ICPMS lab, Luminescence Geochronology Lab and access to the USU Microscopy Core Facility.
