From CSDMS
Four PhD positions at UFZ on the impact of hydroclimatic events on pollutant transport and turnover in catchments
Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), , Germany
Apply before: 15 December 2019

In our interdisciplinary project DYNAMO at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), we are hiring four PhD students to investigate how hydrological and climatic events influence the movement and turnover of pollutants in catchments. This is part of an ongoing effort to improve our ability to predict and manage water quality in the face of global change.

The four PhD topics are:

  1. Deciphering catchment’s transit time dynamics using event isotope signatures https://recruitingapp-5128.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/1784/Description/2
  2. Tracer-aided modelling of flow, solute transport and reactivity in response to dynamic hydrological conditions https://recruitingapp-5128.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/1785/Description/2
  3. Effects of hydrological events on solute mobilization and delivery in German river catchments https://recruitingapp-5128.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/1786/Description/2
  4. The role of lakes and reservoirs in modulating solute export signals from catchments https://recruitingapp-5128.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/1787/Description/2

The application deadline is Dec 15 2019.

Further information can be found in the individual job advertisements.

Looking forward to many interesting applications,
