Describe processes represented by the model Channel planform geometry
Describe key physical parameters and equations The geometry of a channel centerline is represented as a direction series using a second-order autoregressive formulation. The governing equation is

theta(i) = b_1*theta(i-1) + b_2*theta(i-2) + epsilon(i)

where theta is the channel direction, i is the centerline node index, b_1 and b_2 are coefficients, and epsilon is a random disturbance drawn from a normal distribution with a mean of zero.

Describe length scale and resolution constraints The channel is represented by a set of linked nodes. There are no intrinsic constrains for length scale or resolution.
Describe time scale and resolution constraints Not applicable - the model generates static channel planforms.
Describe any numerical limitations and issues Some parameter values result in channels that self-intersect. The code outputs both the raw centerline and a simplified centerline with self-intersections removed.
