The next cycle of the USGS Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program provides several opportunities to study Earth surface dynamics and related research fields. To be considered for this fellowship, candidates must have successfully completed a Ph.D. in an area described in the Research Opportunity before employment begins. The U.S. Federal Government gives *strong priority to U.S. citizens and nationals*, but for these two-year positions, noncitizens may be considered under certain circumstances. The research proposal is the most important part of the application package, and applicants are strongly urged to coordinate the development of the proposal with the Research Advisors.
