The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to participate in ongoing research initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be working in the areas of remote sensing, improving forecasts of weather, climate and snowpack, and will contribute to Texas Forecast Informed Reservoir Operation Pilot.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Hydrology, Meteorology, Applied Math or a related field.
- A proven track record in reservoir modeling, optimization, and high-performance computing.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Fortran.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with developing distributed programs on high-performance computing systems.
- Experience in data assimilation and machine learning.
- A track record of publications in well recognized journals.
