Processes included in RT-Flux-PIHM. Coupled land surface hydrological model Flux-PIHM simulates the hydrological and land surface dynamics (precipitation, canopy interception, infiltration, recharge, overland flow, subsurface lateral flow, and surface energy balance at the watershed using finite volume method. The model allows examination of the hydrological and biogeochemical coupling at watershed scale. The discretized mesh structure of Shale Hill Critical Zone Observatory used in this work is depicted in the bottom.
